H5P.com is the paid hosted software as a service (Saas) version of H5P that provides 24/5 tech support. It features automatic passing of scores to the gradebook when integrated with the following learning management systems (LMS): Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, Brightspace, Sakai, and OpenEdX. It also has exclusive H5P content types that are not available in the free plugin versions. This paid version is managed by Joubel, the company that founded H5P, so supporting them makes H5P available for more people worldwide and helps fund future improvements and the continued development of H5P.
Canva (Graphic Design and Video)
Canva is a cloud-based all-in-one app for graphic design and simple video editing. Their best feature is the many templates, stock images and stock video as well. They offer an free account for K-12 educators and qualified non-profits/NGOs.
Descript (Video Editing)
Descript is a cloud-based app that has a screen capture tool with audio recording, and a new way to edit video like a text document using AI-generated transcripts. Also great for recording podcasts and creating social media clips. They offer an education/student discount.
LearnDash (Online Course Hosting)
LearnDash is an online course hosting platform that runs on WordPress. It’s an affordable and highly customizable option for selling online courses. Lessons can have course content made with the free H5P WordPress plugin.
Kadence (WordPress Theme)
